Job description : • Job Title : AGM / DGM - Sales • Reporting to : VP-Sales & Marketing • Location : Mumbai • Qualification : B. Com / MBA (Sales & Marketing) • Required experience: 12 to 15 years Purpose: Execute the sales strategy of the CFS as stipulated by the CFS Management and achieve business targets Roles and Responsibilities: • Work on achieving volume/ revenue targets set by the Vertical in terms of getting direct Import and export customer’s (Consignee), forwarder’s and CHA’s container volume in CFS. • Create a plan to target and acquire new customers out of the allocated list of customers • Map the details of all existing and potential Customer with focus on Direct Importers and Exporters, CHAs and Forwarders with their area of operations • Track, analyze and report market development periodically. • Market the CFS services which include Exports, Imports, Reefer activities, ODC handling and value added services to prospective Customers mainly Consignees, International & Domestic forwarders and CHAs. • Generate revenue by adding in new customers and increase business from existing customers by increase their wallet share • Do market research to identify large Importers and Exporters who requires CFS services and share the findings with CFS Management. • In conjunction with Sales & Marketing Head methodically set monthly, quarterly and annual volume targets based on individual client’s total volume and the market share required by the CFS • Maintain continuous and consistent rapport with all heads of shipping lines in location, including knowledge of influencers of business and continuous engagement with them to secure container business into the CFS • Have ability to source data pertaining to import and export activity, and to approach customers (or influencers) who will then need to be approached for conversion of volumes into the CFS. • Engage with all existing customers directly and indirectly through marketing team, by setting schedules for interactions and ensuring engagement of customers. • Closely co-ordinate with HODs of other departments to ensure customer satisfaction. • Ensure pipeline of customers always being made available to bring the volumes to the budgeted numbers in the CFS. • Identify critical customer’s list (cargo more than 500TEU per month), and prepare contingency plans for such customers volume. . • Maintain analytics of customer service requests, and identify and engage with other departments to resolve recurring issues permanently. • Ensure usage of CRM and other Business support systems for transparency and single view • Responsible for receivables from credit customers and for maintaining the DSO within the target set for the location. • Engage with all customers to leverage the various capabilities of the Company group and also engage closely with other verticals within the group to contribute to cross selling in region. Desired Candidate’s Profile: • Should be a graduate and an MBA (Sales & Marketing) is preferred • Should have 12 to 15 years of experience in business development in logistics • Should be able to identify potential opportunities in the market and bring in new business. • Should have experience in budget preparation, good presentation skill and leadership skills • Should have strong relationship with S/Lines and international forwarders. • Should have good communication skills and positive attitude. • Able to contribute in generating revenue and meet the set target individually • Should be flexible to travel Pan India as well as overseas as per the business requirements.
