Job description | : BRANCH MANAGER – KOLKATA JOB SUMMARY: Heading the P&L role for Freight Forwarding vertical in Kolkata. QUALIFICATIONS: Education and Experience Requirements: • Graduate / Post-graduation in Business Administration (preferred) • Industry experience of 10 - 12 years Knowledge, Skills, Competencies and Abilities: • Sound knowledge about market and important trade lanes. • Exposure to all Freight forwarding products, knowledge of logistics business could be an added advantage. • Strong leadership skills. • Strong commercial ability. • Able to motivate and lead a team. • Good communication, presentation & negotiation skill. • Business development experience. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Basic Job Description • Deliver Budgeted NR for Kolkata. • Drive Customer service and Operations. • Maintain Relationship with Customers, Service partners. • Maintenance and optimisation of all customer reporting & service dashboards. • Management of Quarterly Business Review process, including: o Performance Reporting against KPIs. o Drive a proactive approach to KPIs. • Cost control in relation to all Branch Activity, including identification & implementation of cost reduction opportunities. • Branch P&L responsibility. • Weekly review of Field Sales. • Best practice benchmarking with existing customers& competitors/market solutions. • Drive decisions by data. • Define and implement new processes to ensure continuous improvement. • Enhance productivity through proactive performance management of operational teams and suppliers. • Ensure SOP’s are maintained, updated and implemented. • Drive & monitor compliance to Control Tower SOP’s. • Manage regular operational reviews with approved logistics service providers (ALSP’s). • Support internal and external implementation & operational projects. • Ensure compliance to agreed confidentiality terms between parties. • Attending management meetings. • Credit control for clients and overseas partners in accordance with company credit policy. |
