Job description	: JOB DESCRIPTION: GENERAL MANAGER –FTL TANSPORTATION He will set up and manage dynamic and cross functional internal and external teams to better assess the daily fleet operations of Planning and Fulfilment while continuously driving and delivering results against established company criteria and key performance indicators in transport Hubs across India Set Up Business Plans in alignment with the Company Goals and strategies to achieve them To achieve desire level of performance following work schedule need to be practiced on daily bas Taking care for new business of FTL Tansportation with existing clients & new one Finalization of FTL Tansportation contracts. Staff development & communicate with Management and customers. Review Daily Vehicle utilisation report, maintenance report & various other MIS Control and supervising staff performance. Monitor Profit & loss on monthly basis vs Business Plan Monitoring Fleet Utilisation (company own vehicles & leased vehicles) Ensure Process implementation of Monitoring / controlling all consignment delivery day by day & Maintaining all vehicle Reports of Loading & Unloading, & Vehicle, planning for improvement in service level. He will supervise the regular Containerized/Non-containerized Transport operations as per company procedural guidelines. He will take care operational and Service Quality aspect of 3PL Transport services business with shipping lines, Bulk cargo Movers , FTLS , appointed Transport service provider/Teams and Companies’ internal Operations & Accounting team for following major business activities: Ensure smooth Transport services, documentation and reporting operations for the assigned region. Focus on carrier relationship development, negotiate rates, and ensure service reliability. Develop maintain & implement best business practices and carrier sales strategies. Recruit, train, develop, and manage the team to ensure individual and company success. Lead the process for Transport team responsible for matching loads, scheduling shipments, ensuring on time pick-up and delivery, and maintaining positive relationships with carriers. Ensure all Transport & Cargo clearance services are performed at facilities with desired service level standards Ensure regulatory compliances and quality of services are rendered by appointed transporters service providers. Handle Company, customers and Shipping line issues and resolve by coordinating with concerned parties. Troubleshoot & if required escalate issues which requires attention of Company Top management and cross functional teams. Drive a customer-focused environment committed to delivering the highest quality product to our customers. Create and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) within the carrier department. Recommend system & process enhancement measures. Other duties may be assigned. Candidate Profile a) Go Getter Attitude b) Graduate with Minimum 25 years’ experience , out of which 5 years shall be in middle or senior management positions ( Sr Manager and above ) c) Excellent troubleshooting skills d) Should be capable of driving the FTL transportation Department e) Working knowledge of Kannada , Tamil , English and Hindi f) Working Knowledge of MS Office Responsible for transport operation South and East region of India ❖ Negotiating with transporters/ suppliers, etc. to achieve seamless and cost-effective movement of consignment & ensuring timely deliveries. ❖ Monitor & Review Utilization of Vendor attached vehicles for improvements yield. ❖ Allocating and managing staff resources according to changing needs and overseeing the smooth movement of the Operations. ❖ Facilitate responses to RFQ/Tender/New Opportunity on rates/ Commercial/Solution. ❖ Implementing systems for meeting different quality standards; maintaining the relevant documents; planning strategies, transport management and follow-ups with the vendors. ❖ Responsible to address the customer issues related to transportation, analyze and find the right solution.
