Job description : Job Description Detail Job Title Job Grade Reports to Business Unit Zonal Sales Head MGR-SM Domestic Sales Head / NSM Sales Job Purpose Zonal sales head is responsible for all the sales activities for stationary category products for the respective zone assigned to the incumbent with the aim to maintain healthy profitability and drive sales in the traditional trade channel of sales Key Responsibilities Strategic • Provide relevant data and ideas to seniors for development and implementation of the sales and distribution strategy for domestic business including introduction of new channels and categories • Provide direction for Marketing in the Domestic market for assigned category of products, ensuring the alignment of Marketing strategy with the Sales strategy • Participate and contribute in designated management committees as required Financial • Responsible for ensuring that respective category achieves its desired target & meets the profitability expectations of the management Technical • Drive product launches, brand establishment as well as design schemes for respective zone to ensure that each product category achieves its desired target & meets the profitability expectations of the management • Maintain cordial relationship with stakeholders in the zone like super stockiest, distributers, retailers to ensure their active participation towards goals & objectives. • Responsible for execution of all primary & secondary sales targets for each category in assigned zone • Develop the distribution network for each category in the respective zone and expansion of dealer network for retail sales / secondary sales implementation. • Conceptualize and execute channel sales promotion schemes to increase the sales for each category in respective zone • Monitor model wise product sales & planning on a weekly basis and forecasting the channel/market requirement in advance based on demand & forecasts • Conduct competitor analysis by keeping knowledge of market trends and competitor moves to achieve market share metrics, also evolving market segmentation &; penetration strategies to achieve targets • Monitor marketing functions like product planning in consultation with Marketing teams, as well as monitoring the pre-analysis data and post analysis of product launch • Administer network expansion & correction strategy, appointment of reliable distributors / dealers, sales personnel and monitoring their performance Capability • Setup a high performing Sales team with extremely qualified and motivated people • Ensure that Sales SOPs are in place to ensure that sales operational metrics like time to acquire a customer, leads to conversion ratio are met • Drive sales functional trainings for the entire sales team to ensure capability development of sales workforce People Management • Manage and recruit sales employees as per the required skillset and market requirement • Manage performance development, career aspiration and mobility of the team members as per the business needs of the entire domestic sales workforce • Provide clear leadership and vision, inspire and motivate staff to achieve excellence and mentor them as they develop new skills Other • Undertake other activities and initiatives to meet business requirements as per the discretion of the directors • The work already being done by the employee currently, shall continue to be performed by the respective individual Breadth/Scope of Accountability Number of Direct Reports Number of Indirect Reports 5-6 - Knowledge/Education Required Minimum Level of Education Required Area of Specialization Why is it required?
