Job description | : A. PLANNING AND BUDGETING Responsible for Product creation, Pricing & creating a strategy for volume & revenue growth on the sea freight product. Responsible for achievement of Sales, Revenue & Volume targets assigned on the sea freight vertical. Ensure a diverse mix of customer base on the sea freight vertical. 4. Monitor the achievement of targets and make mid – term target correction (if required) based on market and any other external factors. B. OPERATIONS 1. Regularly meet with the customers to strengthen our connects and thereby create a competitive pricing structure. 2. Coordinate with the sales manager and drive meetings with the sales team to promote the sea freight product. 3. Presentations on performance against budgets and way forward to be made periodically. 4. Work and build tonnages with specific focus on selected trade lanes. 5. Coordinate closely with network agents to ensure best rates are provided. 6. Compile and monitor approved company sales budgets, market share, marketing plans for different Trade Lanes/ Services. 7. Work towards reducing the costs on sea freight product. C. BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT: 1. Expansion of the customer spread and new customer creation. 2. Business promotion with existing customers and implement Sales promotion initiatives. 3. Service contracts with large customers and shipping lines D. REPORTING AND MIS 1. Report on budget performance / variance on a weekly basis 2. Analyze reasons for lost bookings on a weekly basis and escalate to reporting officer for further actions with respective BU’s. 3. Proposing service pattern improvements / product mix/ schedule changes. 4. Monitor and Analyze the performance with the team and take appropriate actions. 5. Prepare MIR reports as and when required. E. TEAM MANAGEMENT 1. Ensure adequate staffing for achieving targets. 2. Ensure team training and development targets are achieved. 3. Provide leadership and mentor key team players for their development and achievement of performance objectives. 4. Effectively implement staff welfare activities. F. IT & QUALITY 1. Oversee and monitor the ISO 9001:2000 quality management system and audit requirements to ensure adherence to standards. 2. Manage and control the IT infrastructure, software development and implementation and ensure that the system is adequate for operational requirements and lead digital transformation. 3. Establish and maintain relationship with Port authorities and other regulatory bodies. YELLOW LINES Minimum Revenue/ GP on each Job Order Documentation and declarations not to be compromised.
