Job description : JOB PURPOSE To direct the Global Sales & Marketing portfolio, formulation of strategy, business promotion, optimal utilization of resources, and liaison with Line Management. The position will solicit business from global accounts with the primary goal of gaining more business and ensuring profitability. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES · Formulate and communicate Sales & Marketing strategies keeping in mind the marketing plan process, the Budgets/Targets approved by the Board and Line Management. · Explore new markets and business opportunities with a view to ensuring that the Group market share is maintained and wherever viable, exceeded. · Targets large customers for obtaining new businesses. · Maintain and monitor high level contact with top exporters, importers, shippers and consignees. · Responsible for the Credit Control policy with a view to ensure that outstanding are kept to the minimum as per the credit policy. · Ensure ongoing close liaison with the SBU heads on Operations, Documentation, CFS &Trucking functions to capitalize on capacity and resource allocations to provide a synergistic approach to customers and to address and resolve commercial issues impacting on the business. · Ensure maximum Market penetration. · Ensure that systems supporting the Sales & Marketing function are used appropriately, and optimal benefits are derived. · Ensure that reporting requirements of various Line Management desks are complied with in a timely manner and the data is accurate. · Ensure that the organization is fully acquainted with service plans, acceptance policies and other pertinent aspects of our service scope. · Determine sales promotion strategies at a Macro level and communicates them to all regions to ensure maximum mileage is achieved. · Generate nominations and Import Leads. Apart from the duties and responsibilities listed above, any other additional duties as advised by the management from time to time. KEY RESULT AREAS Ensure collections are done within the credit period. Onboarding new customers as per the Target. Compilation and collection of data for periodic reporting to Senior Management and Principals. Clearing of all the disputed and claim related shipments on time. Preparation of various reports such as branch wise performance, sector wise performance, salesman wise performance, vessel wise performance etc. YELLOW LINES 1. Ensure renewal and adherence of Service Contracts. 2. Ensure that checks and regulations are followed for booking special equipment like Reefer, Hazardous cargo 3. Ensure rates are and contracts are negotiated with the top customers.
