| Job description | : Surveyor Designation Surveyor Reporting to Head Mines Experience 4 to 5 Yrs Age 25 to 30 Yrs Industry Iron Ore Mines Qualification BE / Dip- Mining & Mines Surveyor certificate of competency CTC 05 to 08 LPA Base Location Hospet Direct reports Job Requirements Role and Responsibilities · Conducts survey at surface and subsurface mine sites to obtain data used in planning mining operations. · Takes instrument readings of sun or stars and calculates longitude and latitude to determine mine location. · Directs survey technicians and helpers in use of electronic surveying equipment, light emitting systems, or other instruments to transfer surface survey positions and directions to underground areas and to survey assigned sections. · Computes data necessary for driving and connecting underground passages to control direction and extent of mining operation. · Computes volume of coal or ore in portions of mine, using survey data. · Surveys and calculates volume of material deposits, spoil piles, or veins, and amount of overburden to be removed. · Conduct surveys of tunnels, subway sites, and underground storage facilities. . · Carrying out initial surveys, risk assessments and environmental impact assessments on potential sites to assess whether plans are workable; · Exploring, mapping and developing sites for mineral extraction; · Undertaking exploration work, such as taking samples and recording results; · Providing valuations of mineral deposits; · Providing advice on how best to restore the landscape after extraction is complete; · Liaising with local authorities and preparing planning applications for clients; · Managing areas, such as mining sites, for owners; · Predicting the environmental effects and impacts of mining, including air pollution and destruction of the landscape; · Creating strategies for the re-use of previous development sites; · Providing advice on how waste material should be disposed of · Any other work assigned to you from time to time If your interested please share your updated word format resume withl the following details, (1) Name: (2)Current Location: (3)Are you ready for relocation to Hospet (yes/No): (4) Notice period: (5) Current CTC: (6) Expected CTC: (7) Total years of experience: |
