| Job description | : Position : Manager – Operations Job Location : Andheri, Mumbai Roles & Responsibilities: Role responsibilities includes: • Managing Air Freight operations commencing from obtaining bookings, till delivery at destinations and forwarding of pre- alerts. • Comprehensive knowledge of information that goes into document preparation ie MAWBs, HAWBs, CANs, Dos, Labels etc. • Verification of customer data from Invoices / Shipping Bills and transfer of data to document. Obtain rectifications from Shippers / CHA in cases of discrepancies. • Scrutiny, verifications and signing of HAWBs. Routing of MAWBs. • Customer relations – handle queries and provide logistics solutions as required by customer. • Email communications and networking with Malca – Amit international offices. • Implementation of customized SOPs for key accounts – Walmart, Richline, Sears. • Knowledge of procedures related to special shipments: TIB, Carnet, Exhibition etc. • Amendments to MAWBs and Manifest, familiarity with procedures of export shipments, including obtaining authorization from Shipper for bearing costs in relation to following non – standard situations: for eg - Shipment not uplifted - damage to package or seal - Transhipment - call back of shipment from overseas - Bar code label interchange - shipment forwarded to incorrect destination • Airline bookings, relations with airlines, scrutiny of CSRs received from airlines. • Reports and MIS as per Customer’s and Management requirements. Candidates from the Valuable Cargo Industry would get preference. Possession of valid DGR license will be an added advantage.
