Job description | : Internal/External Job Title : Business Development Manager, India Department : CLS Location/City : Mumbai 1. Brief Description about LOB and Position:- Contract Logistics (CLS) is one of the major division of APL Logistics India Private Limited, which majorly concentrates towards domestic logistics – Warehousing, Transportation, FTWZ and VAS. Heading commercials and business development for contract logistics in India. Project implementation Monitoring, legal agreement finalisation, deep selling & key account management. Credit control, AR & billing tracking, RFQ analysis and response. Basically it includes Entire Sales Cycle and Target Responsibility of Self & Team. 2. Key Result Areas:-  Responsible for Pan India commercials for Contract logistics.  Converting leads generated by sales.  Negotiating contracts to deliver targeted EBIT.  Finalization of legal agreement.  Responsible to achieve Sales targets in terms of both top & bottom line.  Commercial negotiations and closing business.  Conducting opportunity assessment for all accounts (existing and new) in all the verticals Consumer, Retail, Auto, Consumer & Industrial.  Development of CFA/Vendor base for outsourcing strategic customers.  Develops high level relationships with strategic accounts to sell new business.  Develops deep understanding of current and future customer needs  Updating internal software and monitor each sales stage of team.  Participate in regular interactions with solution design and operations to get updates on improvements in capabilities etc.  Assist in solution design and RFQ response process for all priority customers.  Set realistic targets for CL sales team down line.  Focused on end to end solution i.e consultancy and 3PL services.  Deep selling of part and full load secondary movement. 3. Language Skills: Proficient in Spoken & written English. Local Language is preferred advantage. 4. Experience Required: Minimum 10 Years of experience in contract logistics in Sales & Business Development. 5. Education: Engineering & MBA preferred. a) Candidates within ctc budget of 20 – 26 lacs.
