Job description : JOB SUMMARY: The Report Developer reports into the Global Customer Quality Manager. The Report Developer will serve as the point of contact for Reporting Department. Plans and directs activities of reporting teams to meet the needs of customers and support company operations. Develop and program reporting process and auditing for timely delivery of reporting and statistics to internal and external customers. Also is responsible for effective response to reporting requests, problems, and special needs on a Global basis. Works closely with marketing and sales, logistics, and transportation departments to ensure accurate and timely reporting. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Manage reporting development and change requests globally. • Manage the Master Service Agreement audits and breakdowns • Review and develop Key performance Indicators (KPI) with commercial team and product groups • Develop tools for Financial and Operational Audits • Engage internal teams/resources such as quality/ implementation/client service teams etc. as required • Support the Monthly/Quarterly Business Review (QBR) process • Develop Dashboards in Dundas and Power BI or other BI tools for use by Clients both internal and external • Define and derive processes and their underlying improvements in relation to Invoicing, Transit Times, EDI, Order Management, Milestone Tracking and all other applications as part of the turnkey solution to the customer • Initiate and manage operational review meetings with branch teams, customer and documentation as required • Gather, develop and manage the customer reporting solutions in conjunction with the Implementation Group • All other duties as assigned by the Global Sales & BI Manager QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE: Candidate should have at least 8 years of working experience in system development specifically reporting and statistics for a freight forwarding or in the transportation industry. Have an advanced working experience of various reporting platforms and data connectors. SKILLS & COMPETENCIES • Broad end-to-end background in report programming and system automation with core focus on freight forwarding • Project Management background preferred • SQL experience • Experience with Logistics Operations Platforms (requirements specification, business process design) • Knowledge of electronic data interchange (EDI) and interface design • Organizational skills including prioritizing, planning, assigning and controlling objectives • Ability to interact at all levels in an organization with strong inter-personal skills • Self-motivated with ability to work independently or as part of a team with varied backgrounds/functions/products • Proven to be successful when working under pressure and tight timelines • Willingness for light continental business travel (10-20%, pre-dominantly USA) • Virtual teaming and ability of working with cross functional business groups • Trade and Transportation process flows • Excellent interpersonal skills—persuasive, empathetic, and able to handle conflict and pressure • Problem solving skills and creative • Strong communication skills • Must be able to organize and advance a team with little direction and is conscientious of deadlines Language • Spoken: English • Written: English Computer • MS Excel (Reports, Graphs, Macros, refreshable, VB) , Dundas, Insight, BI Tools, AS400, MS SharePoint • Internal interfaces: All stakeholders involved in internal and customer projects. • External interfaces: Customers, consultants, 3rd party providers, suppliers etc. that play a part in the supply chain.
